In stock form, the 12-cylinder oil-burner generates an output of 500 horsepower and a ludicrous 1,000 Nm (757.56 lb-ft) of torque from six liters of displacement, enough to get the all-wheel drive model to 100km/h (62mph) in 5.5 seconds. A new air filter and software optimizations from Anderson Germany help increase output by 10 per cent to 550-horsepower.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The tuning firm also fitted the Q7 V12 TDI with new brakes featuring eye-popping red-calipers and a lowering module for the suspension. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Next up on Anderson Germany's list is the exterior enhancements, which come in the form of a carbon fiber package for the front grille surround, mirror caps, rear diffuser and roof rails, while all logos, the air-vents, the twin tail pipes and the grille are finished in a shiny black color. The smoked lights at the back and a new set of 22-inch alloy wheels with black spokes shod in 295/30 22 tires all around, are also part of the package. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;For the interior, the tuning company proposes white carbon-applications on the dashboard, steering wheel and doors, while the seating surfaces and door panels are upholstered in leather and quilted black Alcantara with contrasting white seems. Optionally, Anderson Germany also offers a matching child seat. The new LED lights round off the interior upgrades. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The German tuner has not given pricing yet on the new Q7 V12 &lt;a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/search/label/Diesel"&gt;TDI&lt;/a&gt; Sales of GM's pickup truck were up 16,9 per cent from the previous year. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Despite Toyota's recall debacle, the Camry finished third overall earning the title of the best-selling passenger car in the States with 327,804 units, posting an 8.1 per cent drop from 2009. The Honda Accord and Toyota Corolla followed in fourth and fifth positions respectively. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Overall, U.S. automakers had four vehicles on the Top 10 list, while Japanese carmakers took six spots. A mud water-trapped Russian dump truck was just about to be pulled clear by a bulldozer, when it seems that the towing cable snapped, causing it to go underwater in less than 5 seconds. We’d say it’s quite a miracle that the driver made it out of the cabin and the presumably cold waters. At the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, General Motors announced that it will begin selling the safety, security and connectivity service for non-GM and older &lt;a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/search/label/GM"&gt;GM vehicles&lt;/a&gt; already on the road. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The service will be available through an aftermarket rear view mirror replacement featuring the OnStar button as well as other controls, which is said to be compatible with most top-selling vehicles from major manufacturers.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;According to the company, the OnStar retail product will offer the same key features found on GM's vehicles including Automatic Crash Response, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance, one-button access to emergency and roadside services, and hands-free calling, including Bluetooth connectivity.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The mirror will be available in the United States initially through Best Buy this spring, with more retailers to follow soon. Pricing for the mirror is set at $299, plus installation which is expected to cost between $75 and $100, while the OnStar subscription service will start at $18.95 a month or $199 for a full year.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;“For years, thousands of drivers have asked us to get OnStar in vehicles that didn’t feature it as standard,” said Chris Preuss, OnStar president.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;“With the retail product that we’ve introduced today they certainly can. We're not sure if it's actually based on the &lt;a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/search/label/Rover"&gt;Rover&lt;/a&gt; SD1, but judging from the photos, it appears to sport the same front end as well as dashboard and door panels as the British saloon. The seller or the vehicle says it is powered by a new Chevrolet 350 c.i. V8 engine. as part of the company’s centenary year celebrations and to help support young British fashion talent. We might be wrong, but we think it would have been more appropriate for the Italian firm to show its support to young British car designers...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;In any case, for the creation of the bags, &lt;a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/search/label/Alfa%20Romeo"&gt;Alfa Romeo&lt;/a&gt; UK held a special competition for students from the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins College, London. A total of 15 graduates submitted sketches inspired by the MiTo for initial consideration, but only two made the cut. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;"After being critiqued and judged by some of the leading faces in British fashion, the bags created by CSM students William Hendry and Tamara Elliot were chosen for the limited run," said Alfa Romeo UK in a statement. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Adding to the many rumors already circulating on the internet, Bloomberg today reported that the model in question will be a racing coupe version of the &lt;a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2010/03/porsche-drops-some-e-in-geneva-918.html"&gt;918 Spyder hybrid concept&lt;/a&gt; that was first shown at last year's Geneva Show. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Citing two people with knowledge of the matter, the news agency said that the car will be a two-seater concept coupe featuring a 600-horsepower V8. We'll remind you that the 918 Spyder, which was recently approved for a limited production run, gets a 500HP 3.4 liter V8 electro-enhanced by way of motors that add another 160 kW (218 hp).&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; Three stepped electronically controlled automatic systems, tuned to meet various requirements, represent both the result and content of the Mercedes-Benz vehicle dynamics concept, which sets new standards in the relationship between the human and the vehicle – automatic locking differential (ASD), acceleration skid control (ASR) [and] Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Benefitting from advanced microelectronics and hydraulics for that era, the systems were able to record and limit wheel slip, thus improving the so-called longitudinal dynamics of the motor vehicle.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The first generation of 4MATIC had three selectable settings, two differential locks and self-regulating electronics. Unlike today’s variants, it was a non-permanent system, so there was a delay until all wheels were engaged. Still, it was a big step ahead in terms of stability and traction compared to rear-wheel driven Mercedes models.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;The automatic locking differential (ASD) was an electro-hydraulic system, capable of measuring the speed difference between driven and non-driven wheels through a control unit. If necessary, it was able to lock the differential 100 percent to improve traction, essentially serving as a start-off assistant. It was replaced with an all-electronic acceleration skid control in the 90s.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;By controlling the interplay of longitudinal forces between the tires and road surface, the acceleration skid control (ASR) limited wheel spin and the lateral sliding of the vehicle. Its main purpose was to help start-offs done on very slippery surfaces, like ice, snow or gravel.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;According to another excerpt from the original press release, “the unique benefit of this Mercedes-Benz development is that they minimize the possibilities of incorrect or impaired human reactions. The recognition, decision-making and response are objectively accurate, timely and quicker than those of a human being – moreover they do not tire or distract the driver, nor mislead him into inappropriate action”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;a name='more'&gt;&lt;/a&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;"&gt;Visitors entering Volkswagen of America's website are greeted by a sedan model wrapped in a white sheet and a note that says "The sleeker, roomier, all-new, German-engineered 2012 ______.
